BUILT FROM GRACE

Image
Built From Grace When shadows stretch across the way, And skies forget the light of day. Still in your chest, a spark remains. A silent strength through losses, gains. It whispers,  “Rise, though winds may roar, You’ve crossed dark seas, and you’ll cross more.” Each trial carved a deeper grace. Each scar a map, each tear a trace. You are the flame that won’t burn out. The steady heart, the whispered shout, That says,  “I’m here. I’m not yet done. There’s more to climb, I’ve just begun.” The road ahead may twist and bend, But hope walks with you like a friend. And when your knees begin to shake, Your soul will rise for healing’s sake. Breathe deep, sweet soul. You’ve come so far. You’re made up of the brightest star. The storm has passed, the skies are clear. You’re not alone. You’re loved. You’re  here . So hold this truth through every tide: The light you seek is held inside. And even in your darkest place... You're made of strength and built from grace. Poetry Written B...

Shadows Of The Past - A Poem By Adam Akers

Shadows of the past Your inner child carries scars that never fade, A weight that presses down, a burden to be made. In life and love, you search for a gentle hand, But every touch feels fleeting, lost in the sand. You yearn for love, for someone to see, The real you, beyond the walls you've built to be. But no matter how you give, no matter how you try, It's never enough, and tears fall, wondering why. Heartbreak echoes, a shattered soul's refrain, Your world upside down, consumed by pain. You claw your way back, through darkness and despair, A never-ending battle, with no one there to care. Nice people get taken, their kindness exploited and worn, Left alone with thoughts that fester and scorn. Fear of love again, fear of trust, a heart locked away, Afraid to let someone in, afraid of the price you'd pay. In the well of life, you're lost and alone, Forever searching for a way back home. Your heart, a fragile thing, shattered and worn, Longing for love, but afraid ...

Mask And Mirrors - A Poem By Adam Akers

"Masks and Mirrors"   Behind the façade of a functioning life, A storm rages, a war that cuts like a knife. Overthinking, a maze with no escape, A mind that dissects each thought, each ache. In the mirror, a reflection stares, A stranger's eyes, with shadows that glare. The weight of emotions, a burden to bear, A heart that beats, yet feels like stone, with care. The world outside moves, unaware, Of the battles fought, the tears that fall like rain. But in the silence, I scream, I cry, A voice that's muffled, lost in the haze of my mind. In this darkness, I search for a light, A beacon to guide me through the endless night. A glimmer of hope, a chance to break free, From the chains of thoughts that bind me. My surroundings mirror my inner state, A room once tidy, now cluttered and late. The weight of my body, heavy as lead, My mind a whirlwind, my thoughts unsaid. In relationships, a delicate dance, A balance between truth and a masked trance. I yearn for connection, ...

THE COLOR OF EMOTIONS

Image
Canva AI Image The Color Of Emotions Emotions are colors And hatred is blue. The deeper the hatred The darker the hue. Some can be pretty Some too ugly to view. But I’ve never seen this When I’ve looked at you. To me you are gorgeous The pinkest of shades. When God gave out goodness You got it in spades. We'll go on adventures Such fun escapades. When I am around you The light never fades. So if emotions are colors They’re here to protect. To guard us from life And it’s adverse effect. I said when I met you That we should connect. With you there's just kindness That's all I detect. Let’s nurture this friendship With love and respect. And when we are older We'll look back and reflect! THE STRENGTH OF A WOMAN

Image
Canva AI Image The Strength of a Woman Have you ever met a woman Who you didn’t think was strong? She fights all her own battles And can admit when she is wrong. The things her body goes through From pregnancy to birth. And how she loves her children With everything she’s worth. Don’t forget her menstrual cycle The monthly ebb and flow. Yeast infections, UTI’s And some things you’ll never know. Can you imagine all the emotions A woman feels throughout the day? Happy, sad, thankful, mad There’s such a vast array. This doesn’t scratch the surface Of all the struggles a woman must go through. A wife, a sister, a daughter, a mom Praise all she does for you! With the love of a good woman Who puts her faith in you. You’ll find she also lends her strength So there's nothing you can’t do. Tell her thanks. Show her love And don’t let her forget. That there’s strength in every woman But she’s the strongest you have met! Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 5.22.2025
