BENEATH NIGHT'S SKY

Image
Beneath Night’s Sky In every shadow And whispered word I call your name But I am not heard I walk in darkness Or in moonlight Channeling My second sight I search for you In the sunlights beam But I only find you When I dream And to be honest That’s not enough I’m chained to you With this ethereal cuff How am I To let you go When your love Is all I know I’m overwhelmed With such grief I crack and break Like a falling leaf I’m a woodland nymph That can no longer fly I seek you out As I softly cry But you are gone And you won’t return And for your love I will always yearn There’s an affirmation That I need to say So I will chant it Every day “I am stronger Than I look True, you stole pages From my book” “But I’m not weak I’m only brave And I will no longer give More than you gave” Now I let you go And I wave goodbye As I walk alone Beneath night’s sky Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 5.9.2025

IF YOU WILL ONLY BE MY OCEAN

Image
If You Will Only Be My Ocean I am at a loss for words. You take my breath away. You are the rhythm of my heart. The beat to which I sway. You are the gentle breeze. That I feel upon the air. The gaze that I get lost in. When you grace me with your stare. You are the reason I can see. Through the dark of every night. You brighten my pathway. You are my own moonlight. You are the very spark. That has ignited my hearts blaze. Consuming all my thoughts. Filling all my days. My body is your temple. Made only for your love. Touched by the Divine. You are my gift from up above. I give you all my heart. In gentle simplicity. With a passion built with fire. Of the sweetest ecstasy. Never before have I. Ever felt such intense emotion. I will forever be your waves. If you will only be my ocean. Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 5.11.2025

SO MOTE IT BE

Image
So Mote It Be Canva AI Image So Mote It Be A healer by day. A witch by night. Casting sweet spells. Powered by light. No incantations on love. Or charm for your destiny. But I’ll offer protection. While you sit restively. It’s all in your intentions. As you read the words out loud. Believe in yourself. And always stand proud. Quiet your mind. Speak from your heart. Repeat it three times. Or you’ll have to restart. Have confidence. Words full of truth. And shortly thereafter. You’ll have your proof. Take calming breaths. By the rule of three. Speak to the universe. And so mote it be. THE WITCHES DEN

Image
Canva AI Image The Witches Den Through a darkened forest Where no willows weep And no light breaks through Though shadows leap There lives a witch Whose feared by all They shield their ears From her cackled call On her cottage door There hangs a sign “Think long and hard Before you cross this line” The story warns Don’t meet her gaze Or you’ll disappear And be lost for days Rumors swirl That when you return You wear the mark Of the Witches burn What that means Is she owns your soul Your name now etched On her Witches Scroll There are those whose fear Caves to their desire So they willingly Brave the Witches Ire You must take the path quickly Follow all the way round Watch out for the vines That’ll pull you down in the ground If you actually make it To the Witches Den That’s the beginning Of your end Your life’s worth more Than a sketchy spell If you choose unwisely Your path leads to hell So heed the signs That warn you away And live to see Another day Original Poetry Written By ...

LOST IN THE MIST

Image
Canva AI Image Lost In The Mist In lands long lost Where a willows weeps Where darkness falls A kingdom sleeps There was a town That truly thrived They’d cheer as one When Knights arrived The story goes As tales abound They loved to have Those Knights around The Knights adored The town as well And stayed with them Till shadows fell To find this town That hid in mist Had many wonder Did it exist And to this day It’s mystery Is forever lost In history Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 3.28.2025

A LETTER TO MYSELF

Image
Canva AI Image A Life In Review A Letter To Myself (Poetry Prompt - Write a letter to your 100 year old self. Wordpress) A letter to myself? Whatever would I write? Would I describe how very much I love the pale moonlight? Reminisce about memories From my childhood? Complain about how often I’m misunderstood? Talk about how I never Wanted to marry? Or how I love paranormal But nothing too scary? I know I’d fill up pages All about my son. He’s my moon and my stars He’s my number one. But wouldn’t I already Know all of this? Like when I was thirteen And I got my first kiss? Or when I was sixteen And I got my heart shattered? I think I’d remember all That truly mattered. How at 49, I finally Found my voice. Finally learned how To make the right choice. Would I mention that I had Started to heal? From my pain and trauma That for so long was too real? I think I’d skim over My traumatic past. Put more effort in writing About what was a blast. But everything would wrap back around To my...

Moonlit Tresses - A Poem By McKenzie MacDuffie

MOONLIT TRESSES *Where to find the artist/writer* @yoursaturdayknight - Instagram and Threads alcmacduffieart.com It falls in silver, or is that teal? A river of light spilling through fingers, too soft to hold, too radiant to be real. Is the white a brightness? Perhaps platinum? I have seen moonlight on water, the hush of tides shifting under its pull, but never have I known its source to walk among us, breathing, passing. Is this what sailors follow when the horizon is lost? Is this the call of a lighthouse too distant to name? I thought I knew the sky, I thought I knew the sea, but never have I seen such tresses, never have I known to look. A miracle in the turning, a sigh in the leaving, a parting glow that lingers when all else fades. Perhaps a poem is enough. Poetry Written By McKenzie MacDuffie Poetry Published By Eryn Dunbar
