THE STILLNESS OF YOU

Image
THE STILLNESS OF YOU You are my anchor. You keep me from drifting. Our bond is so strong. Your mere presence, uplifting. The stillest of waters, Can run dangerously deep. Yet you quiet my soul, When my heart wants to weep. You are my safe harbor . When my mind's storm runs asunder. Always calming my spirit, When it's pounded by thunder. When shadows grow heavy, You help me to see… That serenity's not found. It’s created in me. You steady my course, When I start to sway. You remind me of light, When skies turn to gray. Through each crashing wave, You have anchored me true. Now my heart's found its peace... In the  stillness of you . Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 11.14.2025

OUR ENDLESS LOVE

Image
Our Endless Love The way we met Is its own story. I’ll tell the tale In all its glory. Have you ever heard How two souls can collide? About a love so strong It can’t be denied? Well that doesn’t touch What we both share. A bond like ours Is truly rare. Each day I wake I wear a smile. For I get to hold her For a while. And all day long I wear this grin. As I count the hours Till we embrace again. I honestly know How lucky I am. That she chose me To be her man. It’s been nine years Three months, five hours. Since God blessed us With His celestial powers. And I remember when I first called her. And how I get to worship At her altar. Because what we have Goes beyond mere pleasure. God gave me His Most sacred treasure. I promise this I won’t take her for granted. The life we’ve built The seeds we’ve planted. And as years drift by And our hair turns gray, I’ll still thank the heavens Each and every day. And if the stars look down They’ll see us still strong. Two souls in rhythm One sac...

MY PULSE IS A RHYME

Image
Canva AI Image My Pulse Is A Rhyme   I am a poet. My heart beats in time. To its own rhythm. My pulse is a rhyme. I won’t match your energy. But I’ll match your words. My soul is a geek. Who loves other nerds. I spit out my verses, Like I breathe in air. Let’s meet in the middle. And I’ll see you there. We’ll go back and forth. Each taking a turn. Imagine the poem’s, We’ll creatively learn! Together in poetry. We’ll let our words flow. I promise you this. It’s more fun than you know! THE SEDUCTRESS

Image
The Seductress You’re not just a writer but a seductress with ink, You put into words what our dirty minds think. Your verses undress us with flicks of your pen, Then tease us to beg you to do it again. A whimper, a rhythm, a sultry soft moan, You tempt every craving with heat in your tone. You conjure desire in sentence and rhyme, A siren of syntax, a mistress of time. With metaphors wicked and stanzas that bite, You make lust feel sacred and shadows feel right. You don’t just write stories… you summon the flame… And we read you with hunger, as we whisper your name. Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 7.19.2025

RELEASE

Image
RELEASE I feel the breeze comb through my hair. The water cleanses my despair. The sand squishes between my toes, As I watch which way the ocean flows. The birds drop low to the water’s edge. A child waves from a windows' ledge. An early morning thunderstorm. A group of girls from their college dorm. The world is waking, soft and slow, With secrets only morning knows. And in this hush, I find my place. A breath, a rhythm, a quiet grace. I pause beneath the open sky. And feel the ache that used to cry, Begin to fade with ocean air… I breathe in hope. Release despair. Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 7.19.2025

DIVINELY TOUCHED

Divinely Touched You’ve walked through storms that few could bear, With shattered hope and whispered prayer. Each trial carved a sacred line. A mark of strength, a trace divine. The pain you’ve felt was not in vain, It etched resilience in your name. Where once you broke, you now unfold, A story inked in threads of gold. You’ve bled in silence, wept unseen, Yet rose anew from what had been. A masterpiece of flame and dust. You are, and always were, enough. The years have shaped what time can’t steal, A wiser heart that dares to feel. No longer lost, no longer small. You’ve learned to rise through every fall. The mirror shows more than a face. It shines with grace you can’t replace. A soul refined by holy fire, Still climbing higher… ever higher. And now, as life keeps pressing on, You wear the light of every dawn. More touched by Heaven with each passing year. More radiant, whole, and more clear. So if you wonder who you are… You’re made of moonlight, forged from stars. Not broke...

MY HEALING LIGHT

Image
My Healing Light My light is seen across the veil It burns so bright it leaves a trail My energy will pull you in Especially when the veil is thin I’ll cleanse your wounds and I’ll heal your pain Give you strength when yours starts to wane It’s my life’s purpose and my vision To help you with your indecision But helping you, helps me too A healing salve for all I’ve been through So let me in when I’m at your heart’s door Because I’m the light you’ve been looking for Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 6.21.2025

WATERFALLS

Image
Canva AI Image Waterfalls You see a blank canvas. While I see bare walls. Where I see leaky faucets. You see waterfalls. You hear a dad joke. And laugh throughout the day. Where I just roll my eyes. Shake my head and walk away. They say opposites attract. You’re the Yin and I’m the Yang. I just can’t get enough. I circle back. A boomerang. Through your eyes I see the world. In such a different light. It’s like my eyes were closed. And you gave me back my sight. I can’t imagine life. Without you by my side. You’ve wiped away my pain. And all the tears I’ve cried. As far as I’m concerned. We’ll always be together. So there’s something I must ask. Will you marry me forever? Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 6.18.2025

IF ONLY YOU SAW IT

Image
Canva AI Image If Only You Saw It I wish you could see yourself through my eyes. How you light up a room. How you mesmerize. If only you'd see, what I see myself. Then maybe you’d be less hard on yourself. Because never before have I witnessed such glow. If only you saw it, your confidence might show. For all of your beauty begins on the inside. That is where you will find that your power resides. If only you saw it. What the world and I see. Then maybe, Just Maybe, you’d finally be free. For YOU, my sweet friend deserve to live happily! HIS ONE SAVING GRACE

Image
Canva AI Image His One Saving Grace A long ago tale told by every town crier. About a love story that caught night on fire. Their flames could not possibly go any higher. A passionate pair. A burning desire. People would come and gather around. In every tavern. In every town. Drinking their ale. Their fists would pound. The Gods so angry, they shook the ground. Yes, the Gods were so jealous, of this lovely pair. For their love was profound, which was truly rare. Some people cried, filled with despair. For all of them wanted what these two seemed to share. Here is the thing, this tale is still told. Even though it is more than a millennium old. About a fair maiden and a Knight that was bold. To stay loyally by her, he braved arctic cold. He brought her trinkets. He wooed her with lace. At the very beginning, she made him give chase. For even just one chance to feel her embrace. And kiss her so softly, on her charming face. He knew she was someone he would never replace. An Epic lo...

MY PARENTS ADVICE

Image
Canva AI Image My Parent’s Advice   Don’t go around picking  Everyone’s noses  You don’t want to be friends  With someone who bulldozes  If a man buys you flowers  You deserve roses Don’t date a musician  Who only composes  You can’t climb the ladder  Without using the stairs Not every person  Is someone who cares We’re all made up different  Like apples and pears  Always offer a smile  To someone who glares  We will welcome you home  If you need an embrace  Go travel the world  And explore every place  Good friends are precious  They’re hard to replace  And you’ll always be more  Than your beautiful face  Enjoy the ride  You don’t have to race  Shorten your stride  And set your own pace  Nobody’s perfect  So offer them Grace  Stand up to bullies  Who tear people down  Make sure to straighten  Everyone’s crown Learn to laugh mo...

THE STRENGTH OF A WOMAN

Image
Canva AI Image The Strength of a Woman Have you ever met a woman Who you didn’t think was strong? She fights all her own battles And can admit when she is wrong. The things her body goes through From pregnancy to birth. And how she loves her children With everything she’s worth. Don’t forget her menstrual cycle The monthly ebb and flow. Yeast infections, UTI’s And some things you’ll never know. Can you imagine all the emotions A woman feels throughout the day? Happy, sad, thankful, mad There’s such a vast array. This doesn’t scratch the surface Of all the struggles a woman must go through. A wife, a sister, a daughter, a mom Praise all she does for you! With the love of a good woman Who puts her faith in you. You’ll find she also lends her strength So there's nothing you can’t do. Tell her thanks. Show her love And don’t let her forget. That there’s strength in every woman But she’s the strongest you have met! Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 5.22.2025

YOU ARE SUBLIME

Image
Canva AI Image You Are Sublime I want you to fly! I want you to soar! I want you to realize, You are worth fighting for! You need to remember, Through all of your days. That when God gave out brightness, He set yours to blaze. You are a beacon of light. You help strengthen others. Always uplifting. The best of all mothers. When shadows come calling, Remember your shine. And what was tough one day, The next will be fine. I want you to soar! I want you to fly! Your wings always pointing, Straight up to the sky! Life might be hard. But not all the time! You need only realize, That you are sublime! Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 5.20.2025
