Beneath The Rain

Would you like to hear a secret?

I can’t get you off my mind.

You consume all of my thoughts,

And your image stands defined.

From the moment my eyes open,

Till they close again at night.

You'd think I’d have gone crazy,

But it all just feels so right.

Would you like to know what’s unhinged?

You and I have never met.

Yet I would know you in an instant,

For your face I can’t forget.

It’s like our souls were written,

On the same eternal page.

A love that spans through lifetimes,

Defying boundaries of age.

I feel you in the silence,

In the stars that softly gleam.

You are the gentle echo calling,

From the edges of my dream.

And when the day is ready,

I know the truth will show.

That I was always meant for you.

And you for me, I know.

I’d travel any distance.

I’d go to any length.

To join our worlds together,

For this bond gives me such strength.

For fate has drawn your spirit,

Like a compass into mine.

Two halves that once were scattered,

Now destined to align.

When at last we find each other,

And no distance can remain.

Look for me and my umbrella,

I’ll wait for you beneath the rain.

The most epic story of all time,

When the King joined with his Queen.

Our love will rewrite the heavens,

With a fervor they’ve never seen.

And when the stars are bearing witness,

To a passion that’s not contained.

The universe will pulsate softly…

In a love the Lord ordained.
