WATERFALLS
Waterfalls
You see a blank canvas.
While I see bare walls.
Where I see leaky faucets.
You see waterfalls.
You hear a dad joke.
And laugh throughout the day.
Where I just roll my eyes.
Shake my head and walk away.
They say opposites attract.
You’re the Yin and I’m the Yang.
I just can’t get enough.
I circle back. A boomerang.
Through your eyes I see the world.
In such a different light.
It’s like my eyes were closed.
And you gave me back my sight.
I can’t imagine life.
Without you by my side.
You’ve wiped away my pain.
And all the tears I’ve cried.
As far as I’m concerned.
We’ll always be together.
So there’s something I must ask.
Will you marry me forever?
