DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND

Image
Devil's Playground Canva AI Image Devil’s Playground You always make jokes, saying you want to play around. But I’m not sure I want to play, on your Devil’s Playground. You’re always real quick, to say that I should meet your friends. If we start writing this book, I’m scared of how it ends. You always invite me over, but never before dark. I feel like I’m swimming at night, and being chased by a shark. So maybe I shouldn’t answer, the next time that you call. Should start adding more bricks, to my protective wall. The next time you reach out, I think that’s what I’m gonna do. I will not answer the door and I’m gonna push away from you. So no, do not come over. You’re no longer welcome to come around. And the answer’s a firm no. I won't play on your Devil’s Playground. Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 2.19.2025

SHE MOVES WITH GRACE

Image
Canva AI Image She Moves With Grace  An angelic face  A brilliant mind  A gentle soul  She’s quite the find Every step She moves with grace  Her energy  A warm embrace  Made of layers  Her depths unknown  Her love’s a gift  To all it’s shown For everyone  Her light shines bright She’ll chase away  The darkest night  Very few  Will ever know  Her inner strength  That is her glow So if you are  A lucky one  She’ll be your stars Your moon and sun  To many  She will always hide But to a friend  She’s by your side  She is loyal  Her love is true  And she’s just as thankful  To have you  Original Poetry Written By  Eryn Dunbar  Copyright (c) 3.31.2025

THE WITCHES DEN

Image
Canva AI Image The Witches Den Through a darkened forest Where no willows weep And no light breaks through Though shadows leap There lives a witch Whose feared by all They shield their ears From her cackled call On her cottage door There hangs a sign “Think long and hard Before you cross this line” The story warns Don’t meet her gaze Or you’ll disappear And be lost for days Rumors swirl That when you return You wear the mark Of the Witches burn What that means Is she owns your soul Your name now etched On her Witches Scroll There are those whose fear Caves to their desire So they willingly Brave the Witches Ire You must take the path quickly Follow all the way round Watch out for the vines That’ll pull you down in the ground If you actually make it To the Witches Den That’s the beginning Of your end Your life’s worth more Than a sketchy spell If you choose unwisely Your path leads to hell So heed the signs That warn you away And live to see Another day Original Poetry Written By ...

A TALE OF OLD

Image
Canva AI Image A Tale Of Old We turn the pages Of our book A time long gone A bubbling brook A castle Hidden in the mist Where knights of lore Did exist A fairytale Starts to unfold There lived a people From aeon’s old That worked the land And loved to laugh Who never felt The Kingdoms wrath The Bard’s would come And spin their tales Every night Whilst they drank Ales Rumors spread About this town And strangers started Comin’ round They could not believe What they would hear About a people That felt no fear The Kingdom grew Far and wide The joy they felt No one denied Is this real Or just folklore The story’s over There is no more I’d like to think This tale is true That happiness Was all they knew I guess we’ll never Really know About this Kingdom From long ago The book now closed The story ends But it lives on When shared with friends Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 3.31.2025

I ONCE CALLED YOU MINE

Image
Canva AI Image I Once Called You Mine Loving you was such a blessing Losing you. The hardest lesson They say that time will help you heal The pain inside. The ache you feel I just don’t see how that is true When every thought’s consumed by you And although our time had to end I smell your perfume on the wind And then I know you’re somewhere near Your presence helps to calm my fear I know one day we’ll meet again And even though I don’t know when I’ll wait for you until that day And lift you up each time I pray No matter the years or how old I’ve grown You’ll always be the greatest love I’ve known And from the heavens I see your light shine And smile knowing, I once called you mine Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 3.27.2025

THE PROMISE

Image
Canva AI Image The Promise There’s nothing you could do. Or words that you could say To make me want to leave. Or ever walk away Looking at our life, and all that we’ve been through We’ve only gotten closer and I’m more in love with you Your love lifts me up. Your love gives me the strength To go the extra mile. To go the extra length You’ve always been loyal. My partner in crime That’s how I know there’s no mountain we can’t climb Because when we are together, we are a force So forever at your side, I’ll always stay the course You are not just my lover, you are my friend It’s always gonna be, me and you until the end Our love's touched by the Divine  and I need for you to know I’m making you this promise. I will never let you go Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 3.28.2025

LOST IN THE MIST

Image
Canva AI Image Lost In The Mist In lands long lost Where a willows weeps Where darkness falls A kingdom sleeps There was a town That truly thrived They’d cheer as one When Knights arrived The story goes As tales abound They loved to have Those Knights around The Knights adored The town as well And stayed with them Till shadows fell To find this town That hid in mist Had many wonder Did it exist And to this day It’s mystery Is forever lost In history Original Poetry Written By Eryn Dunbar Copyright (c) 3.28.2025
