Steel Grey Eyes - A Poem By: William Pope
Your steel grey eyes are so intense
Masking all my primary senses
Honestly, you take my breath away
All my heart wants to do is stay and play
My brain wants to know what's in store,
If we can be one, once you know me more
My feet just want to run to you and commune
To catch your sunlit face 'afore the noon
My hands want a memory map of your spine
Tracing all your curves, dimples, and hairlines
My fingers want to etch a memory of your face
By cradling your head in a moment of grace
My arms want to hug you from behind
My chest to your back, oh so sublime
One hand on your tummy, one on your face
To caress your cheek in a sweet embrace
Softly breathing on your neck, under your ears
Whispering sweet nothings, eliminating any cares
Time stands still for the two of us
Necking and kissing, building equal trust
You turn to face me, face to face
Our lips searching for just the right place
Before you know it, our clothes drop to the floor
Tongues and lips explore one another, and emotions soar
You part your legs, and I taste your bounty
You arch your back and fold your legs around me
I anticipate and sense the moment splendidly
Just before you shudder and moan with ecstasy
We're creating memories impossible to erase
When two become one in this loving place
