Late In The Evening - A Poem By: Alan Mack
Late in the evening, when I look up to the heavens.
I see it's vastness and wonder,
What is my part to play, I ponder.
Is there some important meaning for why I am here?
As I look around and see, silhouettes of buildings and fences.
Fireflies flashing their little lights.
The deer grunting in the darkness.
Oh, there goes an owl, flying from tree to tree.
I say to myself, does it really matter?
When I see all of these.
For the stars and planets above,
The fireflies, deer and the owl.
All play their part together.
Without a wonder or care.
What greater part could I have,
For I to, in all this wonder I get to share.
