To The Ones That Did You Wrong - A Poem By: David
I have a different theory,
Think of things a different way.
All the bad that you've been through
Before we met that day.
I would never wish you pain,
Solitude or tears.
I understand you've had your share
Over many years.
But what I want to tell you
It sounds as different as can be.
Everything that happened
Made the woman that I see.
The one that has her guard up
But still has love to share.
The one who sees a friend in need
Calls to show you that she cares.
I know you carry hurt,
Pain that folks don't get.
But you are much more powerful
Than anyone I've met.
I'm glad they couldn't hear it
The music in your voice.
The symphony that I hear
When you quiet all the noise.
So thank you to the ones
That really couldn't see.
The magic in her eyes
That was somehow meant for me.
