COVERED IN LIGHT

 

Covered In Light

Sometimes I just feel lost

Like I am all alone

In spite of all the kindness

And love that I’ve been shown

And that is okay

To feel like this sometimes

What I do to heal

Is to put my thoughts in rhyme

It makes me feel better

I no longer feel afraid

I’m covered in light

I can step out of the shade

Life can be good

But I can still feel down

Writing is the only way

I can straighten my own crown

This is what works for me

So thankful that I found

A way to fill me up with joy

To bring me back around

So when you get lost

And nothing seems real

Pick up a pen and paper

And see how good you feel
