STICKS AND STONES

Sticks And Stones

Sticks and stones might break your bones
But words will leave a deeper scar

Inflicting pain on all they touch
No matter who you are

So be careful with what you decide to say
And how it might make a person feel

Once they’re said, there is no going back
And some of us might not ever heal

Words, they are so powerful
And can be more deadly than a knife

You never know how much harm they’ll cause
Or how they can ruin someone’s life

So please be kind and thoughtful
With the words you choose to say

It’s not only the person you share them with
That in the end, might have to pay

I always said 2 things you can't take back are bullets and words we experience this and we're changed. Parents tell kids they're worthless never going to be anything. The rhythm of your words gives the poem a posture while reading it,
