THE TEARING DOWN OF THE WICKED

The Tearing Down Of The Wicked

With words you say you love me
But your actions tear me down
I thought you knew when we first met
This Lady proudly wears a crown

I’m too strong for you to break
But still you continue to try
I’m already walking out that door
So consider this goodbye

I’m not into dating narcissists
Or men that practice their abuse
On women they think are small and weak
It’s your ego that will bruise

Manipulation, backhanded remarks
Are just a couple ways you work
You walk around, looking down
And you always wear a smirk

This ends here, this ends now
I will not let you win
What you’ve gotten away with
In my eyes is a sin

To take a person’s spirit
And try to shatter it like glass
Shows what kind of man you are
A man that has no class

You seem to forget so easily
That even broken glass can shine
I radiate more than any jewel
I emit the brightest glow from mine

So for one last time, I’m telling you
This is the end of your malicious reign
You won’t burn anyone anymore
Or it’s you that will feel the pain

I will make sure that I’m the last
That you ever get to try and hurt
I will share with the entire world
I will make all women alert

People want out what they put in
Someone to match their energy
To find the missing half to their soul
And they will choose them happily

But what you do, you look for cracks
You are the worst of all betrayers
You tear them down piece by piece
You rip through all their layers

But like I said, not anymore
You will no longer have the power
To take a rose, so full of grace
And change it to a wilted flower

I’ll be the one that warns them off
And protects them from your lies
Not only that but I’ll introduce them
To the original nice guys

I will forever build them back
So that you will never be able to tear them down
I’ll remind them of their own self worth
And straighten out their crown

You will never be a threat again
No one will hear the wickedness you spew
I’m tearing down your unholy walls
And when I’m done, there’ll be nothing left of you

Yes it is. What you put out in the universe matters because it will be sent back to you.

It's awful to have to protect yourself from the one that lays next to you. Even during a disagreement supposed to stick to the topic. I hate you went through this stuff cowards do this shit. A MAN is supposed to find the cracks and help protect them from being damaged more from life itself

I have seen it for many years and so many women think it's a normal life because they've never known anything else.
You've put it in perfect words.

This poem powerfully articulates the journey of a woman recognizing and rejecting toxic behavior in a relationship. It's a narrative of empowerment, resilience, and advocacy for oneself and others. Here's a breakdown of some key themes and elements:

Empowerment and Self-Worth: The speaker identifies her strength and refuses to be diminished by her partner's actions. Lines like "I’m too strong for you to break me" and "I will remind them of their own self-worth" emphasize self-empowerment and the recognition of one's intrinsic value.
Rejection of Abuse: The poem explicitly rejects narcissistic and abusive behaviors. The speaker is clear about not tolerating manipulation or any form of emotional abuse, stating, "I’m not into dating narcissists / Or men that practice their abuse."
Warning Others: There's a strong theme of solidarity and protection. The speaker commits to warning others about the abuser to prevent future harm, as seen in "I will make sure that I’m the last / That you ever get to try and hurt."
Contrast of Beauty and Destruction: The metaphor of a rose being changed from something full of grace to a wilted flower illustrates the destructive impact of the abuser, contrasted with the speaker's resolve to restore dignity and beauty to those affected.
Finality and Closure: The poem conveys a sense of finality and closure, not just in ending the relationship but in ending the abuser's influence. Phrases like "This ends here, this ends now" and "You will never be a threat again" signify a definitive end to the cycle of abuse.
Restoration and Healing: Beyond personal healing, the speaker aims to facilitate healing for others, promising to "build them back" and to "straighten out their crown," highlighting a commitment to community and collective healing.

This piece serves as both a personal declaration of independence from toxicity and a broader call to action for protecting and uplifting those who might find themselves in similar situations. It's a poignant reflection on the dynamics of power, abuse, and recovery in relationships.

It’s hard to come back from this in one piece. Not everyone is able to lift themselves back up from this type of situation. Thank you Brandon for being one of the good guys. ♥️
