FAIRYTALE 🧚♀️
Fairytale
I was once told to write my own fairytale
I think that ship has long set sail
Blown away by a windy gale
One more thing I can call a fail
Instead I write with paper and pen
Where I change the story again and again
A cavernous cave or a wooden den
But never a fairytale if ya ken
Rolling hills with plenty of trees
A bubbling brook where you’re down on your knees
I write about honey and bumbling bees
Of treacherous rains and rough weather seas
I write about almost anything
Two sweet lovers and how they cling
A fancy car, a diamond ring
But a fairytale I’ll never sing
A fairytale story I’ll never tell
My heart too often, it has fell
Pushed me back into my shell
I’m no longer under that fairytale spell
