MY FAVORITE SEASON - An Original Poem By Eryn Dunbar

MY FAVORITE SEASON

The spring is not yet in the air.

But honestly, I do not care.

I will happily enjoy the snow.

Shut inside, no place to go.

Give me a blanket and a book.

I’ll sit in my chair. In my little nook.

There’s nothing more I would desire.

Than to read next to a roaring fire.

No matter what, seasons change.

So my life, I’ll rearrange.

Each and every single time.

But to me, it’s winter that’s sublime.

I like this. It’s 9° here this morning. This is what I’m doing today. Staying inside and reading a book…. Well, maybe go to the shop too.

I actually enjoy when Mother Nature disrupts the daily grind and routine. Allows me to freely switch gears. Would prefer a long hike or walking through the sand along the beach any day. But being stuck inside, staying warm has both mental and emotional unexpected benefits.

I seriously miss being snowed in from when I lived in Illinois. Nothing better than being cozy in a chair by the fire, reading and sipping on hot cocoa or tea. Sigh....

It's a Norman Rockwell scene painted by your pen, being comfortable within my thoughts allowing Cocoa and fluff to warm me watching a movie or deep in thought. Reading or writing sounds nice like Chuck roast dinner with gravy and warm rolls . The picture you painted is priceless though
