The Mountain Climb


Thank you for all your love
We’ve helped each other rise above

Even though in life we’re stressed
We’ve also been so truly blessed

No mountains we cannot climb
No words we can’t make rhyme

We might be covered in dust and sweat
But we won’t live in the regret

Mistakes, they have been made
And a high price already paid

But we proudly wear a crown
Won’t let anyone knock it down

With others, we’ll always uplift
Make them see that they’re a gift

In my eyes you truly shine
Your life touched by the divine

So let’s climb this mountain together
I’ll hold onto you in stormy weather

Right next to you I’ll always stand
Forever offering you my hand

Till the dust and sweat’s no more
And you’re shining from your core

I’m gonna stay right by your side
Throughout life and on this ride

There’s nothing we can’t do
I’m unfailingly here for you

I’ll wipe the dust off of your crown
Help you learn to stand your ground

Not one thing we can’t ever face
Your pain with joy, I will replace

Through the darkness of the night
I’ll gladly be your guiding light

Together throughout all time
Hand in hand, we’ll start this climb

With love and loyalty so true
You’ve healed me by just being you

So though our crown’s might have a tilt
There’s no mountain ever built

Or problem we cannot ponder
As long as together we always wander

Stronger when we are combined
A better friend I could not find
So from the mountains we now stand above
And from this friendship so full of love

You replaced all that was hateful
And now to you, I’ll always be so grateful

In my heart you are sublime
So glad to have you on this climb

I love reading your poems. Some of them speak to me more than others. And some touch my heart unexpectedly.
Through your writings i feel myself heel. Those wounds aren’t so deep anymore. You are very talented. Please dont ever stop.

Beautiful Eryn. Love how through all the bad, pain and ugly life may bring, you persevere and you are wiser, stronger and better because of it.
That's not easy to do. And your words flow so well in expressing it that it becomes powerful and helpful tobso many others. 💕

This one is so much easier to read, you're acknowledging that life has been challenging and reads as you're walking back into the fire in order to help another. I can picture and another looking like y'all's done battle all dirty and banged up limping away from something burning LADY RAMBO'S. It's a great movie in my head though I doubt that you have many female friends I'm sure you will help another woman who's endured things in need of help
