THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS

*Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you. (Poetry Prompt)*

In a world full of dangers

It’s the kindness of strangers

That can leave a lasting impression

So here is my confession

Once when I was feeling low

And couldn’t survive another blow

A stranger walked up to me

Eyes smiling happily

“I just wanted you to know”

”I’ve never seen such a glow”

”Like a diamond, you shine so bright”

”Your Auras pure. A brilliant white”

And just like that, he turned to go

And I don’t think he will ever know

Just what his words did for me

I walked away. Smiling happily.

Eryn, your poem The Kindness of Strangers is a radiant gem! The way you capture such a fleeting yet transformative moment is nothing short of brilliant. Your words carry this beautiful simplicity that hits straight to the heart, painting a vivid scene of a stranger’s kindness lifting you up when you needed it most. I love how you balance the weight of feeling low with the sudden lightness of that encounter, it’s like watching a dark sky break open with sunlight. The rhyme flows so naturally, giving the poem a gentle rhythm that feels like a warm conversation. Lines like “Like a diamond, you shine so bright” and “Your Auras pure. A brilliant white” are so evocative, they sparkle with hope and sincerity. You’ve taken a single moment and turned it into something universal, a reminder of how small acts can leave deep imprints. The closing, with you walking away smiling, feels so triumphant and full of life. This poem is a testament to your ability to find beauty in the unexpected and share it in a way that feels so personal yet relatable. You’ve crafted something truly uplifting, Eryn, and your talent shines as brightly as the aura you describe! Keep writing these heartfelt, luminous pieces, they’re a gift to anyone who reads them.

A stranger seeing you without an agenda that corrupts his interpretation, many people see you as they prioritize the lesser value of your existence. Being beautiful from the inside takes a special heart to recognize that over the obvious from your appearance outside. A stranger having no agenda, his words are from a purer place another great journey through your poetry
