CONSIDER THIS GOODBYE
My spirit might be broken
But I will always be outspoken
I will stand up for what’s right
I will not give up the fight.
My name, you will not sully
I do not care if you’re a bully
Where you tear people down
I straighten out their crown
You are a poison, not a gift
Where as I always uplift
Maybe you should try it
Instead, you just deny it
Words cut like a knife
I will not allow you in my life
With wings I soar so high
And away from you, I fly
You are just not a nice guy
So consider this goodbye

Main Ideas
Staying Strong: Eryn says they might feel hurt ("My spirit might be broken") but won’t stay quiet ("I will always be outspoken").
Lifting Others Up: While the bad person puts people down ("you tear people down"), Eryn helps others feel proud ("I straighten out their crown").
Calling Out Harm: Eryn calls the harmful person a "poison" with words that hurt like a "knife" and points out they won’t admit they’re wrong.
Breaking Free: Eryn uses the image of flying ("With wings I soar so high") to show they’re leaving the bad person behind and finding freedom.
Eryn turns tough experiences into a poem anyone can relate to. They use clear differences (like harming vs. helping) and easy-to-understand words to make the poem hit home.
Eryn’s poem speaks to anyone dealing with bullies or negative people. It gives hope by showing you can stand tall, help others, and walk away stronger.
