TILL WE BOTH ASCEND


Suddenly I get a chill.
And then I feel the greatest thrill.
Your face is staring back at me.
It’s more than just a memory.
I smell your scent upon a breeze.
It calms my heart. I’m filled with ease.
I swear that I can feel you near.
I think that you are really here.
I feel your hand upon my cheek.
I try but I can’t seem to speak.
Tears start running down my face.
Because now I’m wrapped in your embrace.
I try my best to catch my breath.
I’ve been so lost since your death.
The days are blurred and I’ve lost track.
But somehow, someway you’ve made it back.
A cosmic design. My one soulmate.
Divinely touched. The hands of fate.
Brought us together once again.
Reunited with my best friend.
A love so grand it must transcend.
I won't let go, till we both ascend.
For a bond like ours can never end.
