BENEATH THE RAIN

Image
Beneath The Rain Would you like to hear a secret? I can’t get you off my mind. You consume all of my thoughts, And your image stands defined. From the moment my eyes open, Till they close again at night. You'd think I’d have gone crazy, But it all just feels so right. Would you like to know what’s unhinged? You and I have never met. Yet I would know you in an instant, For your face I can’t forget. It’s like our souls were written, On the same eternal page. A love that spans through lifetimes, Defying boundaries of age. I feel you in the silence, In the stars that softly gleam. You are the gentle echo calling, From the edges of my dream. And when the day is ready, I know the truth will show. That I was always meant for you. And you for me, I know. I’d travel any distance. I’d go to any length. To join our worlds together, For this bond gives me such strength. For fate has drawn your spirit, Like a compass into mine. Two halves that once were scattered, Now destined to align. When ...

THE WOLF WAS NEVER THE CURSE (Myths and Legends Series) Part Seven

Image
The Wolf Was Never The Curse (Myths and Legends Series) Part Seven They say the moonlight cursed them, And summoned forth the beast. That once the change had taken hold, Their humanity had ceased. But wolves were never monsters, Nor creatures born to kill. They shared one soul between two forms, Each guided by one will. The moon did not control them, Nor force their bones to rearrange. It called forth the wolf within them, And helped them through the change. Their pack was more than bloodlines, Or others of their kind. It formed among the souls they loved, Whose hearts with theirs aligned. They did not hunt the helpless, Nor kill for mere delight. But dare threaten one they called their own, And their wolves emerged at night. The stories spoke of slaughter, Of savage tooth and claw. Yet left untold what came before, All the blood that people saw. The kingdoms sent their soldiers, To hunt them at twilight. No pack was safe from outsiders, Who stormed their camps at night They held...

LETTING HIM STEP IN

Image
Letting  Him  Step In  I think I’m at my breaking point, But God says I am wrong.  He says I can face anything, For He built my spirit strong. But some days I don’t feel so strong. In fact, I feel quite weak. I send up prayers every night, For the guidance that I seek. I ask Him why the road feels steep, Why burdens never cease. Why strength can feel so far away, When all I want is peace. And in the silence of my doubt, When answers don’t appear. I feel Him in the quiet calm, That gently draws me near. So maybe strength isn’t the roar, I thought it had to be. It’s choosing to keep moving on, When no one else can see. And even on my weakest days, When I can barely stand. I know that I don’t walk alone, I’m held within His hand. Maybe strength is not the fight, I thought I had to win. So I’m leaning on His promises… And letting  Him  step in.
